　　Miriam's P.O.V

　　After Chris had carried Louise into the mansion, I stood by the end of pool soaked and sobbing quietly. To think that my own husband would put the safety of his late brother's wife over mine was heart wrecking.

　　The rest of the pack who had gathered to the scene when they heard Louis scream had started to gradually return to the Mansion ball room and I was sure glad that I heard the entire pool to myself until I saw my supposed to be husband walk up to me with five of the guards all heavily armed.

　　'And what could she have told you that makes you come to your wife with armed soldiers of the pack" I asked him as I observed his every movement.

　　He kept mute and did nothing but stare at me for a long time and I found it very weird and uncomfortable for him to doing such around me.

　　'Why did you do it?" he asked me, clinching his fists as though ready to punch me in the face.

　　'Why did I do what?" I asked him not knowing what he was talking about.

　　'Why did you push her into the swimming pool? What has become of you Miriam? Why would you stoop so low to do that all in the name of jealousy?" he added with a stern look on his face.

　　I hissed at his statement and as though they had been given instructions ahead of time, two of the guards seized me by the arms.

　　'What is the meaning of this Christopher? I am your wife and not that cheap whore!" I yelled but that seemed to only get the attention of the on looking party goers and Christopher didn't seem to care less about anything I said at that moment.

　　'For your sake and hers, I pray nothing happened to that baby" he said with a frown on his face and it got me angry all the more.

　　I could easily transform into my wolf form but I didn't want to make things harder than they were for me already. It was a full moon and my wolf was not one to readily back down from a fight when engaged so I had to do my best to hold it all in.

　　'Just let me rip their skins to shreds" I heard my wolf whisper to me and I giggled at what she said. I knew she badly wanted to interfere but I couldn't risk it.

　　'Christopher, the doctor says he wants to speak to you in your chambers" said his sister Emily as she approached us by the pool.

　　Emily and I weren't the best of friends. We didn't even like each other to be frankly honest and as a result, she always did her best to cherish every opportunity she could get to mess around with me which this appears to be one of them.

　　'She won't talk, will she?" Emily asked as she dragged me by the hair and I did my best not to scream or make a fuss about it.

　　'Watch her while I go attend to the doctor"

　　'No… I think we can take her there. That way you can pick what punishment best suites her no matter the outcome of what happened to Louise" she suggested as she signaled for the guards to drag up me to my feet and take me to Christopher's chambers.

　　We got to Christopher's chambers and saw Louise in tears and the doctor with a sober look on his face and at this point in time, I didn't need anyone to tell me what was going on.

　　'Doc. What seems to be the problem?" Christopher asked with a frown on his face as he stared at me and back to the doctor who simply cleared his throat and looked at us both for a while.

　　'She lost the baby" The doctor finally easing off the tension in the room and I swear that I saw Christopher's eyes flash cold red as he turned to me and I was very sure that if I wasn't his mate, He would have probably sliced my throat in half.

　　'I always knew you were a cold hearted witch" Emily snorted as she walked to Louise to comfort her.

　　'First, you came into our lives and killed my elder brother and now you killed the only survival to his legacy on earth. You really have some nerve to be here you Witch. Who are you going to kill next… my brother or even me" Emily added looking at me scornfully.

　　'She pushed me into the pool. She hit me and then pushed me into the pool. She murdered my child" Louise sobbed but something about her cry didn't seem right to me.

　　Louise looked at Christopher, her tears so pitiful and yet so deceiving hoping that he would come and comfort her but he hesitated for a moment before moving to her side. Most times I could feel he didn't want anything to do with Louise asides the fact that she was carrying his late brother's unborn child but honestly, he never made things easy for any of us.

　　Louise was pregnant for Christopher's elder brother just before he died and the council decided that she stay and live with us like she were still the Luna and that her child would be the very next Alpha after Christopher so at this very moment, nothing I said would make sense to anyone as they would probably believe that I did push her into the pool due to jealousy.

　　'I didn't touch Christopher. I swear on my life that I didn't push Louise into the pool neither did I hit her" I pleaded but Christopher didn't seem to believe me.

　　'Miriam, you have the next five minutes to own up to what you did and apologize to Louise on your knees, else…"

　　'Or else what?" I sobbed as I interrupted his words. I felt tears run down my cheeks as I watched my own husband. A man I had been mated to for the longest of years side another woman.

　　'Trust me Miriam, this is hard for me as much as it is hard for you too but I need you to APOLOGIZE!" he yelled at me laying emphasis on the apology.

　　'I will not apologize to an offence that I did not commit neither will I own up to it, Louise is a cunning snake and I'm very sorry for you if you haven't realized that yet" I mumbled under my breath as I noticed his claws take over the position of his fingers and my heart raced with fear.

　　'If he as much as scratches you with those filthy claws of his, I will rip his body in two" my wolf said to me getting pumped at angry at the scene going on before us

　　Emily walked Louise to her room to get some rest while Christopher and I stood in utmost silence for what seemed like eternity.

　　I tried pulling him in for a hug but he brushed away my hands and gave me scornful look that could show how clearly angry he was at me for a crime I basically had no in hand in.
