Thunder raged, and heavy rain poured down.

Lisa Ray stood at the door of her ex-husbands house, staring blankly at Mark Lucas and the woman beside him who wore a spring breeze-like smile, her half-sister Susan Ray.

After taking the blame for Mark Lucas for three years, she never expected that upon her release, she would witness their second wedding anniversary celebration.

Tears mixed with raindrops fell one by one. Lisa wiped her face, ignoring the disdainful glances of others. She had another purpose for coming today.

Mark noticed the commotion at the door, frowned, and whispered, "Ill handle it."

Susan said, "I dont want to see her, get her out of here quickly."

"Have you been released?" Mark noticed a dark blue bag at Lisas feet, the only luggage she had brought out from prison.

Lisa nodded stiffly, "Yes... I wanted to see my son."

Mark frowned in disgust, "You want to see your son in this condition? You should leave now; today is my big day, and I dont want any bad luck."

Lisas body trembled slightly. She had managed to shorten her five-year sentence to three, all for the sake of her son who had lost his mother in infancy.

Her eyes red, she said, "Mark, for the three years I took the blame for you, let me see my child, please? Just one glance."

"Taking the blame? If it werent for that scandal, would you have willingly gone to jail?"

She whispered, "Then give me back my son. Ive come to take him with me..."

"You shameless woman, you still have the nerve to say that!" Susan, seeing that Mark hadnt driven Lisa away, strode over and cursed.

"Dont keep saying thats your son. The old man adores him now. You cant expect to take him away. Hes used to a life of luxury. Even if he goes with you, ha, can you afford to raise him?"

Susans mocking words struck Lisas heart. When she walked out of the prison gates and saw that everyone else was picked up, and she was alone, she already knew what kind of situation she would face.

Susan sneered, "Ungrateful thing, you committed a crime and had a bastard. Weve done you a favor by raising the child, and you still want him back."

Mark held her hand and whispered in comfort, "Alright, dont惹 this bad luck, today is our big day."

Lisa looked at the cold smile on Susans lips, picked up her luggage, "One day, I will take back my son!"

After three years, when Lisa returned, she couldnt find her parents home, which had been demolished and turned into high-rise buildings. She wandered there for a long time before deciding to go up the mountain to see her son, only to leave empty-handed.

A black Porsche Panamera sped by, splashing mud. Lisa was too lazy to dodge; she was already drenched.

The man in the back seat of the car seemingly casually glanced at Lisa, and after a moment, asked the driver to reverse the car.

Seeing the car actually reversing, Lisa looked over in surprise, only to lock eyes with a pair of deep, slender eyes. Her body tensed, and she quickly turned and ran downhill.

Unfortunately, she ran too fast and tripped on a stone, falling to the ground.

Lisa struggled to get up, and a pair of black, shiny shoes appeared in front of her. Following the straight legs up, the man held a black umbrella, shielding her from the pouring rain.

Embarrassed, Lisa quickly got up and murmured, "Uncle."

Kevin Lukas, Mark Lucass uncle and the youngest son of Franklin Lukas.
